Dedicated to all the people who tend to compare apples with oranges.
Well the last straw was Nona walia's article in Sunday times about
"how powerful men take the risk of ruining their careers with a quicky ?"
At some level I do blame these guys for not being able to cover it up..in our Hippocratic society!
But the rebellious con-science within me....flames up at the sight of such biased and prejudiced opinions.....
that too on a glossy paper with colored prints....which can only be reflected upon with the people who patronize such articles and call themselves "cultured" or "civilized"
but simply put , are crying out loud for attention!
The society and the male fraternity to some extent should be held responsible for such light handedness of these issues
which encourage some "cultured" sects of media to depict these "Successful" men as mere "street dogs".
To justify my rage and share my perspective,
Allow me to take you to a journey into the wee hours of my adolescence:::
1996-97
Army public school , Chandimandir, Headquarters Western Command,
class 9th A's biology class is being held in the Projector room:
While my eyeballs are playing ping-pong between the short skirts of the "herd" and the slides being shown on the screen,
Our bio teacher is adjusting the projector to make the unusually large "male reproductive system" fit into the boundaries of the screen..
The herd is all giggly....and burdened with the thought of another high expectation and fear of not being up to the mark...
all the guys were staring at each other....reminding me of how we look at at each other whenever there was a history test in class.
All this while I am thinking....this is heights of copying the west...you cant even make an Indian sized model of reproductive system...
and you talk about putting satellites into the orbit with your own launch vehicle!
Anyhow let me come back to the topic, out of sheer fear of the thought that none of us would ever get laid,
all the guys turn their attention to what the teacher is trying to teach....
"Millions of sperms struggle against each other to reach the egg and mind you, only one sperm is able to reach the egg and is enough to fertilize it"
Now we get into the act!
Q: So aren't there any more eggs mam?
A: No, there is only one egg.
Q: So what happens to all the other sperms?
A: They all die beta....they can't survive on their own.
Q: Y cant there be one egg for each sperm?
(Mam is already startled from the participation of guys)
A: GOD did not want it that way beta!
Q: GOD...where does he come from ?I thought we evolved from single cell organisms...plankton..amoeba and finally climbed up the evolutionary ladder over the billions of years?
(Mam is now speechless and thinking it will be better off to let the guys discuss basketball and football match strategies during class!)
A: Yeah that's what Darwin said...remember Survival of the fittest.
Q: So that means the sperm who has fertilized the egg is the fittest and hence gets to fertilize the egg?
A: um-mm...I guess u are right...very good beta..
Q: And what about the egg mam, does it play any role in the selection criteria, or she just enjoys all the sperms fighting over for hern showers in the attention ?
(Mam again puzzled)
A: wat time is it?Lunch...
A from another guy: The egg is just looking for the perfect partner, so that it can have the best survival chances for the embryo to be formed later.
Q:So basically egg is enjoying all the attention while millions of sperms are slaughtering each other ?
Q: So egg is attention seeker and looking for the best man who wins, to maximize its chromosomes surviving period(even egg has its sight set at immortality)
All this time the herd is looking lightning struck by our analytical skills!!!
Lunch break!
Some other questions which left unanswerd in my head cuz of lunch break were:
Q1: What if there were two eggs, would they fight for the best sperm who wins.
Q2: Could that best sperm enjoy the services and attention of both the eggs, seems fair, the lone egg witnesses a slaughter of millions.
Q3: what would be the reaction of both these eggs towards each other? would they be jealous of each other?
Q4; Given a chance would one king sperm who has battled and defeated all others enjoy multiple eggs attention?
Q5:If yes,how would the one egg for whom he fought the first battle feel about the other eggs.
Q6: If she is not comfortable then the same testosterone levels and levels of fearlessness which drove him in the first place ,could be used against him by her?
Q7: Is that fair to the King sperm?
Q8 : What happens to other sperms who are looking up to king sperm as role model, suddenly should he be stripped off his achievements and conquest.
Q9: Q7 repeats itself!
Q10: Would a sperm who is with an egg be more desirable to all the single eggs?(as he has proved himself)
Q11:In that case is it fair just to blame the sperm?
Till this date I could not find answers to these questions, but I guess most of us and even me in the last 13 years have observed human behavior very closely,
and if we ask ourselves we would be able to get these answers right away, d
ont worry its not something u would be asked in the court of law,
But just answer these to yourself..and gauge it!
I find explanations of human behavior in this theory backed by proof :
Why men prefer multiple partners (proof all around)
And women strive for attention from all the world (trillion dollar cosmetics buisness)
Why wars have been fought over women(Cleopatra and Sita)
Why women cant tolerate some other lady sharing the attention of her partner?
(women-for once be what u expect your man 2 be -honest, men-all desirable men have experienced, rest-NA)
I can go on and on but the question still remains, Is it justified to blame likes of these super Achievers for all that they are in,
Or should i Say...all that they have been put into...As far as I am concerned , Lets just say I beg to differ.
Some more questions which this theory puts in-front of me ?
Is Being with one women more a question of lack of opportunity rather than "loyalty"?
Is marriage nothing but just the oldest form of Insurance?
Is love just a propoganda which generations of love stories, films have propagated?
After all who of the most coveted women has fallen for a totally unworthy man( I bet ranjha was a kabbadi champ and Majnu had good genetic looks)
And the biggest of all -
If we are dogs, looking for multiple partners
what are they who look for multiple attention providers.
Or just because judiciary does not have anything in that regard, we are hopeless.
wait a second , Taliban had put a law on wearing burquas....total attention ban!
So if wearing short skirts ,of which btw ,I am a big fan ,is totally justified,
Isn't it justified for us to look at multiple targets, Y defame the DOG :p
It all lies in the question about survival of the egg and the sperm who are co-dependent!
PS- This is an attempt to insulate myself from the propaganda of our society, media and religion and
then judge the rules which judge the character of man and woman (read apple and oranges)
Ur precious comments and reviews are welcome!!!!

hahaha awesome stuff . deserves space at bookstores. does loyalty really have anything to do with opportunity. Seekers can and will create opportunity. i believe. Seeking stops the moment u find THE one. enlighten the audience if you ever find answers.
